Chris Hancock
I was born on August 11, 1966, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, North Carolina, the third child of Wayne and Louise Hancock of Randleman, North Carolina.
I began working at Pilgrim Tract Society, Inc. at the age of 13 during the summmer of 1980, learning to operate two flatbed letterpresses. They were sheetfed printing presses and were the main presses of the Pilgrim Tract Society at that time.
I soon learned how to fully operate those pressess, the folder, linotype machine, and also the cutter. I continued working at Pilgrim Tract Society during the summer months that I was not attending school. In the Spring of 1984 I graduated from High School at Carolina Christian Academy in Thomasville, NC and began attending College that Fall, and continued to work full time at Pilgrim Tract Society.
